TTPNetwork have been very fortunate to gain a place at the London Marathon for 2025.
The event takes place on 27th April and our runner for 2025 is Luke Brice (pictured).
Luke is a seasoned runner and recently took some time to tell us about his latest challenge:
"My training officially kicked off at the end of December 2024, and I’ve been logging around 70KM per week—a significant step up from my usual mileage. I’m following the Pfitz 18/55 plan, an intense 18-week program that peaks at 55 miles per week, pushing my endurance and discipline to new limits. The structured long runs, tempo sessions, and midweek mileage have been both challenging and rewarding, teaching me the importance of recovery and mental resilience.
Beyond the marathon itself, I’m also organizing small fundraisers in the lead-up to April 27th,including sweet treat sales and fitness challenges to boost awareness and raise additional funds for TTPNetwork. This cause is especially close to my heart because of my dear sister, a dedicated primary school teacher, continues to go above and beyond in her role, all while managing the daily challenges of TTP. Her strength and determination inspire me every step of the way, and I hope that by running—and through these fundraisers— I can play my "small" part in helping those affected by this rare condition."
Luke would appreciate you support, as we would at TTPNetwork!
